The Basketball NSW Referee Action Days have so far seen 541 officials attend to be updated on the rule changes as well as additional education. Basketball NSW still have a few remaining courses available for individuals to attend this year, as well as some mini actions days for our Junior League Officials.

Our coaches and administration also maintain the Basketball NSW grading framework through game assessments and training courses to ensure that our referees continuing to receive feedback and are progressing as officials. Central Coast Basketball have a dedicated program for the representative, elite and the beginner referee.

All referees must be registered with Basketball NSW. Cost of registration belongs to the individual. If registered as a player, they are covered, however will require details to be included on registration. Must referee a minimum of two (2) games per week to maintain their badge.

Basketball NSW has provided close to $1.4 Million in discounts over the 24 months to its members. Basketball NSW also opted to return a portion of the nomination and game fees back to its associations for both the 2020 and 2021 seasons totalling $500,000.
