Each team will have 7–10 players on their roster. The YMCA is responsible for forming all teams, but the designated coach is required to call all players on his/her team to relay practice time and confirm participation. Contact must be made prior to the first practice. In general, the YMCA assigns one coach per team.
The Y’s youth basketball league heavily emphasizes teamwork and sportsmanship, while teaching kids the basics of the game: shooting, dribbling, rebounding, passing and defense.
